The Illinois Energy Efficiency Loan Program, powered by AFC First, offers low-interest loans for the purchase and installation of a high-efficiency air conditioners, furnaces, some water heaters and more.
The loan features:
- 4.99% unsecured, fixed rate financing
- Loans from $500 to $20,000
- 100% financing available
- No home equity required, new homeowners OK
- No fees to consumer or contractor
- Up to 10 years to repay
- Work must be done by an approved contractor (Kenna Heat Cool Solutions is an approved contractor)
Who is Eligible? Utility customers who:
- Own a single-family home, condo, or multi-family building with no more than four units
- Are installing a qualifying high-efficiency system (a system refers to a furnace and an air conditioner)
- Have good credit and the ability to repay

Home Energy Rebate Program (formerly Residential Prescriptive Rebate Program)
Owners of single-family homes, two-flats and individually-metered condos, apartments and townhomes can get rebates on a wide range of energy-saving improvements to their homes. And customers who participate first in the Home Energy Jumpstart Program are eligible for a $250 bonus rebate on qualifying furnaces, boilers or water heaters.
New equipment must be installed and old equipment removed. Only new products that meet the energy-efficiency specifications listed on the residential application qualify. Rebates may not exceed the project cost.
